The artwork  combines Escher-esque aesthetics with the violent legend of Miyamoto
Musashi- one of the greatest sword saints to ever wield a blade( or two). The progression of
the story is borrowed from Musashi by Eiji Yoshikawa and is also a tribute to Vagabond by Takehiko Inoue. The artwork itself follows Musashi's philosophy in trying to show the narrative in its entirety.
